Finally I am able to contribute and leave comments. The DAC experience has always intrigued me. I also realized years ago that we (DoEAs) don't know enough about each other in some cases because of colonial language barriers. Well, Angola is next!

The paper referred to above provides really important insights into the different groups in Holland - read it if you can. I can see similarities between the Dutch and US experience when compared with the British one. Angola will be interesting!
