Student Research Dissemination Seminars
In 2004 the ‘Free within Ourselves’ Academically Based Community Service project with a strategic focus on British African and Caribbean communities was introduced onto the research portfolio of London South  Bank University (LSBU).

The project (relaunched as CBACS in 2007) offered learners a research pathway where they were able to offer an academically based community service to their communities.

The project consists of two strands - student and community - with the latter extending outwards to the British African / Caribbean communities as a means of bringing students, their communities and the university together in a three-way learning partnership.

A number of students with a 'generative desire' have taken up this option over the years and we now have a growing number of research projects to be shared with members of the British African and Caribbean communities, as well as interested others, with very useable recommendations on moving forward.

Look out for details of the first student research dissemination seminar in this ongoing series ...
